Ninjutsu means "THE ART OF perseverance and success" To me it means that if are one that is successful then you are already a ninja. Success is defined as a realization of a worthwhile goal or dream. If you are the type that never gives up and conquer lifes challenges thats designed to make us better ...then To Shin Do just brings out the "Inner-Ninja" thats already inside you by providing the "Jutsu"!

To me "Ninjutsu is living" means that whether you are aware of it or not, the art will always be present in your life. Once you have studied and practiced Ninjutsu, even a little, you will have an outlook different from before. That's how it is for me.

Maybe that is part of the attraction to the art difficult to explain. For whatever reason people will train in a martial art for self defense, to belong to a club etc,. When you look back into the history of the art it was family oriented. The teachings were passed down with in the family, as with most martial arts. Today Ninjutsu is becoming more visible to the public. I appreciate those who truly seek to study the art and bring its teachings to the rest of us.
"Ninjutsu is living” it is thriving in an environment that sometimes presents challenges and you need to be adaptive. Those who don't understand will make jokes. The true warriors preserver in their training.

I think we all encounter someone like this at some point in our life. You will have those persons that are only there to make suggestion. I think those that are truly invested in your success will take on the action of carrying out the suggestion.
In reading your poem each thing was need for the tree to grow, even the child.
We all care on some level.

Sensei,
I would ask what do these people seek to master? My aikido instructor would tells not to chase technique. I did not understand this until I started preparing for my Nidan test. We would practice the same techniques over and over until he started showing the variations. The real lesson hit home when it was a matter of mastering self. A student can learn techniques in a matter of a few months. But as Mr. Hayes stated To Shin Do is so vast that one wold run out of life... I believe this about any study.
